Established in 2016, Mainlevel provides expertise in digitalisation and monitoring & evaluation. We enable organisations in the public, private and NGO sector to increase the efficiency, outreach and impact of their interventions with learning-oriented M&E and targeted digital solutions. Our interdisciplinary team of M&E consultants, digital consultants and IT developers works together closely on assignments for a wide range of clients including GIZ, KfW, the EU, UN agencies and a growing number of NGOs as well as other international organisations. From conducting evaluations, baseline studies or gender analyses towards identifying and implementing digital solutions that support projects and make a difference in people’s lives, we are proud of the diversity of professional expertise we can offer to our clients – to help them be more effective, more accountable and more impactful throughout their interventions.

Your challenge

In your position as digital consultant, you are responsible for driving forward digitalisation assignments for projects and organisations in the public, private and NGO sector. You support our clients in benefiting from digital opportunities by identifying, defining and applying digital solutions that help improve the effectiveness and impact of their interventions. Your tasks include:

  • Developing proposals for new opportunities regarding digitalisation in the public, private and NGO sector
  • Implementing and managing digital assignments covering a wide range of aspects including e.g. digital monitoring and data analysis, citizen engagement and civic technology or improved collaboration and knowledge management
  • Guiding clients through agile, human-centred design processes to ensure that users and their needs – not the technology – remain at the centre of designing and implementing digital tools
  • Support to other assignments when needed, mutual learning and support among colleagues to jointly build our expertise within digitalisation and beyond

Your qualities

  • An academic background in international economics / politics, international development, information and communication technologies or any related field of studies
  • Experience in international development cooperation, gained through previous work and/or research
  • Practical experience in digital assignments and with agile project management on an international level would be a strong asset
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and learning, ready and willing to take gradually increasing responsibilities
  • Having a consultant mindset: results-oriented, creative and with attention to quality
  • Team spirit, strong communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Language skills: fluency in English, knowledge of other languages (particularly German, French, Spanish and Arabic) is an advantage
