07 Dec Improving the quality of child protection services in West Africa
Together with social protection expert anne chastel, Mainlevel is currently supporting Terre des hommes foundation in developing a pilot methodology which aims at supporting the improvement in the quality of child protection services, while evaluating and monitoring changes.
Our consultant Alice van Caubergh and Anne were last week in Burkina Faso, where they met with key child protection actors, both institutional and community-based. They assessed how quality management and evaluation was happening in a variety of services, including for migrating children and youth, and the reality of children protection activities in the country. Until February 2019, they will develop and test, collaboratively with Terre des hommes, a methodology and toolkit to support teams in Togo, Benin and Burkina Faso to evaluate and improve quality in the delivery of services.
It is a real pleasure to support and collaborate with Terre des hommes in their great work supporting vulnerable children across West Africa.
